A word from
Mitchell's parents
The
10th annual MRTR proved to be the best
ever! $74,000.00 was raised and we hit
another record for participants with 1500. Thanks
for joining us in our cause to fight Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Thank
you, TOM IZZO, MSU men's basketball coach,
you were awesome!
Our
volunteers are the biggest reason why MRTR
has been so successful. They donate their time, energy,
and resources to our cause. Thank you volunteers.
Our
Gold sponsors, Meijer, Wolverine
World Wide, and Merrell continue
their support every year and we are grateful.
Please
join us this year, August 15th, to fight DMD.
Thank
you,
Sandy & Steve Peterson

How is Mitchell doing?
Mitch is finishing up his very successful 7th grade year at North.
He was on the principal's honor roll for semester one,
selected as Student of the Month for the month of March,
and nominated for Student Council as a representative for
the 7th grade students.
He is now just coming to terms with the Spartan loss to
North Carolina. We have assured him 2010 looks very good
for the possibility of a repeat to the Final Four for the
Spartans. Go Izzo! Mitch is just switching his focus to
the upcoming baseball season and the Tigers look like they
are off to a better start then last year. At this time we
will refrain from bringing up any issues of the Lions until
after the draft!
Mitch had surgery in October to correct his scoliosis that
was brought on by his Duchenne and being in his wheelchair.
He was off school for almost 2 months but continued to work
very hard on his missing assignments. Mitchell's hard work
paid off and was rewarded with another semester of Principal's
Honor Roll!
Please join us with our continued fight against Duchenne
by participating in this year's 11th annual Mitchell's Run
on August 15th!
